Those dark blemishes occur when your skin produces more melanin, which provides your skin its tone. Melanin is a natural pigment that is responsible for the color of the skin, eyes, and even your hair.

Ensure you always conduct a patch test for allergy before applying these homemade natural remedies on your entire face.

  • Aloe Vera 

Apply aloe vera directly to the dull spots for 30 minutes in the morning and evening.

  • Apple Cider Vinegar

Blend equivalent amounts of apple cider vinegar and water in a bowl. Mix them well and apply on to the dull spots. You can also add a few drops of lemon juice with the vinegar. Another recipe is to mix 3 tablespoons of orange juice and ½ tablespoon of vinegar and wash off with warm water.

  • Buttermilk

Buttermilk is rich in lactic acid and therefore is great for kindly exfoliating dead skin cells and improving skin tone. It will also help manage your skin’s pH levels.

Apply buttermilk to dark blemishes and leave on for 15-20 minutes. Wash with warm water and apply moisturizer. If you have oily skin or suffering from acne add a few drops of lemon juice.

Tip: you can apply buttermilk to your face with a ball of cotton. 

 

  • Castor Oil

Rub a little oil on the dark spots in the morning and in the evening.

  • Lemon

Cut a slice of lemon and smoothly apply to the concerned area for 10 minutes in the morning and evening. For delicate skin, mix 1 tablespoon of lemon juice and 1 tablespoon of water or rose water in a bowl. Dip your cotton and apply it to the skin and rinse it with warm water.

Lemon is used for treating dull skin and pigmentation, because of its high nutrient C substance. Make a face pack of one tablespoon honey and one tablespoon lemon juice, wash it off after 15 mins.

  • Papaya

Peel and eliminate the seeds from the papaya. Cut into small pieces and make it as a paste using a blender. Apply it to the face and neck, leave for 20-30 minutes in the morning, and before going to bed and rinse with warm water.

  • Sandalwood

Mix 1 teaspoon sandalwood powder, 1 teaspoon outer peel of the orange, and orange juice as required. Mix ingredients together in a bowl. Add sufficient orange juice until you get a smooth paste. apply to your face and neck. Leave on for 15 minutes.

Repeat weekly twice.

  • Turmeric

Turmeric has been utilized in each Indian family.

Mix 2 tablespoons of rice water, 2 tablespoons flour, and 1 teaspoon turmeric in a bowl. Mix well and dab on to dark spots. Leave on for 20 minutes. Wash with lukewarm water.

Mix two teaspoons of Turmeric with curd and besan and make a thick paste out of it. Apply and leave it until dry and then wash it off.

  • Tomato

Tomatoes protect the skin from sun harm. Apply tomato juice on the skin for twenty minutes and later wash off with tepid water to reduce dull blemishes and skin tone.

  • Green Tea Extract

Green tea may have a depigmenting result when applied to the skin. Soak a green tea bag in boiled water for a few minutes. Remove it and rub it over the dark spots of your skin. Refrigerated green tea bags under your eyes can also remove dark circles.

  • Saffron

Saffron is a unique Ayurvedic natural element for overcoming pigmentation and dull spots. Take a few strands of saffron and soak them in a small amount of water and add two teaspoons of turmeric powder to it to prepare a paste. Apply this paste to your face to reduce pigmentation and dark spots.

It is important to prefer a traditional approach with these DIY homemade beauty remedies. Apply a small amount to your face and leave it on for a short amount of time, then go with larger amounts and longer times until your skin can manage it. If you feel any pain, stinging, or a burning sensation, immediately wash it off.
